Luca Ghidini

Luca Ghidini studied at the “A. Boito” Conservatory of Parma, where he graduated in Double Bass under the guidance of Maestro V. Gorgni.

He further refined his studies at the Hochschule in Cologne with W. Guttler and at the “W. Stauffer” Academy in Cremona with Franco Petracchi.

He has successfully passed numerous auditions, which led him to collaborate with several orchestras, often as Principal Double Bass, including:

• RAI Orchestra of Naples
• “A. Toscanini” Orchestra of Parma
• ORT Orchestra of Florence
• RIAS Orchestra of Berlin
• Chamber Orchestra of Mantua
• Teatro Massimo of Palermo
• Teatro Massimo “V. Bellini” of Catania
• Sicilian Symphony Orchestra Foundation

He performs in various chamber music ensembles, ranging from early music to contemporary repertoire, and has recorded for important record labels.

Since 1997 he has been teaching Double Bass, and since 2001 he has been a professor at the “A. Scarlatti” Conservatory in Palermo.
