Francisco Maestre

Conductor

Francisco Maestre, Principal Conductor of the Orquesta de Jóvenes de la Provincia de Alicante since 2009 and of the FIJO Festival, studied conducting in Spain and in St. Petersburg.

He has conducted orchestras in Europe, Asia, and Latin America, including the Mariinsky Youth Orchestra, the Galicia Symphony Orchestra, and the Thailand National Youth Orchestra. He has collaborated with artists such as Shlomo Mintz, Edicson Ruiz, and Rusanda Panfili.

He regularly conducts at the Musikverein in Vienna and has won First Prize three times at the Summa Cum Laude Festival.

He is actively engaged in promoting contemporary music, conducting several world premieres, including Libertadores by Óscar Navarro.
