After graduating from the renowned Maxence Larrieu School in Italy and France (Lyon Conservatory), he made his debut as a soloist with the RAI Symphony Orchestra in 1982. This marked the beginning of a brilliant career that has taken him to Europe, the United States, Latin America, and Asia (Japan, China, Thailand, Singapore, and Korea), performing at renowned venues and festivals such as Suntory Hall, Kioi Hall, and Hamarikyu Hall in Tokyo, the Rudolfinum and Smetana Halls in Prague, the Verona Philharmonic Theatre, the Lotte Concert Hall and Seoul Art Center, the Parco della Musica in Rome, the Beijing Conservatory, Umbria Jazz, and Serate Musicali in Milan.
A soloist with orchestras including the Prague Virtuosi, the Tokyo Ensemble, the Cannes Côte d’Azur Orchestra, the Arena di Verona Orchestra, the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia, the Kazakh Academy of Virtuosi, the Thailand Philharmonic, the Prague National Theatre Orchestra, the Tübinger Chamber Orchestra, the Turin Philharmonic Orchestra, the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra, and the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, he has served on the juries of competitions in Europe and Asia. He has taught at the Conservatory, the Pescara Academy, the Scuola di Saluzzo, the Arts Academy Foundation in Rome, and the Geneva Conservatory, and is a Visiting Artist at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, USA. He has made numerous radio, television, and CD recordings, including for Camerata Tokyo and Universal. He received the Chamber Music Prize in Kyoto, performed at the G20 in Guatemala City, was awarded the European Award for Artistic and Cultural Activities in Prague in 2011, and was named BMIMF Best Artist at the Korean Busan Maru Festival in 2018. He has been invited as an instrument expert at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Lausanne and the Conservatoire Supérieur de Lyon, and teaches at the Conservatoire de la Vallée d’Aoste.
