Pianist

Kristina Miller, a Russian-German pianist, was born in 1986 in Moscow into a family of musicians. Her exceptional talent gave her the opportunity to perform W. A. Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 with orchestra at the age of eight.

Six years later, Professor A. E. Rubina invited her to study at a special music school for gifted children in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Having already won First Prize at the International Piano Competition in Berlin (1999) and Second Prize at the International Piano Competition in Saint Petersburg (2000), the Russian Ministry of Culture honored her outstanding artistic achievements with an award for artistic development.

From the age of twelve, Kristina Miller has performed in concert halls across Europe, the United States, Australia, and South America, and has been regularly invited as a soloist with orchestras such as the Recreation Grosses Orchester Graz, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra of the Americas, Israel Camerata Jerusalem, Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Orquestra Sinfônica do Teatro Nacional Cláudio Santoro, Neue Philharmonie München, Capella State Symphony Orchestra of Saint Petersburg, Rostov Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquestra Sinfônica da USP, Berliner Camerata, and Ulyanovsk Symphony Orchestra, among others. She has worked with conductors including Ravil Martinov, Carlos Miguel Prieto, Claudio Cohen, Sergey Krylov, Patrick Hahn, Vladislav Chernushenko, Uri Segal, Roberto Tibiriçá, Osvaldo Ferreira, Fuad Ibrahimov, Helder Trefzger, Hobart Earle, Andreas Stoehr, and others.

After graduating from the special music school in 2004, she became a student at the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory, where she performed in venues such as the Philharmonic Hall, the Capella Hall, and the Grand Hall of the A. Glazunov Conservatory in Saint Petersburg.

In 2006, she won the Steinway Piano Award at the Steinway House in Munich and entered the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich to continue her studies with renowned pianist Professor Gerhard Oppitz.
As a chamber musician, Kristina Miller has collaborated with artists including Daniel Müller-Schott, Sergey Krylov, David Aaron Carpenter, Jan Vogler, Pierre Amoyal, and Danjulo Ishizaka, among others.

In addition to numerous recordings for Bavarian Radio, her first CD for the Naxos label was released in 2008, recorded with Nicolas Koeckert. The project received excellent reviews and was frequently broadcast by Bavarian Radio and the BBC.
In 2012, she completed her studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich with Professor Gerhard Oppitz, graduating with a Master of Music with distinction. In 2015, she obtained a second Master’s degree from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Professor Dr. Johannes Kropfitsch.

Between 2017 and 2023, Kristina Miller made her debut at major venues including the Berlin Philharmonie, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Sala São Paulo, Stefaniensaal Graz, Victoria Hall Geneva, Big Philharmonic Hall Vilnius, Herkulessaal Munich, Kurhaus Wiesbaden, and the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music, among others.
