Mirai Sumino
Pianist
Born in 1998 in Chiba, Japan, she studied at Music High School and Tokyo University of the Arts before earning a master’s degree from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon. She has received numerous awards, including third prize at the 21st Tokyo Music Competition, the Grand Prize at the 17th Chiba Music Competition, and the Gold Prize at the 17th Chopin Competition in Asia. She also received the Aoyama Music Foundation Scholarship and received the Acanthus Music Prize, the Dosokai Prize, and the Geidai Klavier Prize upon graduation. She has performed numerous concerts both in Japan and abroad, including at Carnegie Hall in New York, the Elard Festival in Paris, and as a soloist with orchestras such as the Chiba Symphony Orchestra, the Geidai Philharmonia Orchestra, the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra.
