Osvaldo Lo Iacono
Guitarist
Osvaldo Lo Iacono is a professional Sicilian guitarist who, in his youth, was self-taught through the records of Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Albert Collins, and others that his father passionately collected.
As he grew up, he discovered the vast world of jazz, starting from the masterpieces of Miles Davis, and began to develop his own style, which still reflects his main influences today. His personal sound blends blues, jazz, funk, and rock.
Throughout his career, he has worked both on solo projects—such as the Osvaldo Lo Iacono Trio—and alongside numerous well-known artists, including Amii Stewart, Antonella Ruggiero, Mario Biondi, the Orchestra Jazz Siciliana (Brass Group), Billy Cobham, Fabrizio Bosso, Fabio Concato, Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi, Deborah Iurato, Mariella Nava, and Fiordaliso, among others.
He has also served as musical director for various bands, including those of Daria Biancardi (winner of All Together Now) and Lidia Schillaci (winner of Tale e Quale Show).
In addition, he has been active for many years in music education, teaching and giving numerous masterclasses throughout Italy in some of the most important educational institutions.
