Palermo Classica’s new winter season opens with a special project: “Compositori a Confronto”, a series of concerts that invites audiences to rediscover music through dialogue between different composers, sometimes distant in time, but united by affinities, contrasts, or surprising points of contact.
It’s not just about listening to masterpieces of great musical literature, but about delving into a musical tale that shows how each composer is part of a larger story, in which ideas, styles, and emotions are mirrored and transformed.
From classical grace to romantic drama, from piano miniatures to twentieth-century soundscapes and world voices, each concert becomes a journey of discovery, where music dialogues with memory and current events.
A musical journey that will kick off on December 7th and conclude on April 5th, with 20 concerts featuring artists from all over the world. Different traditions and sensibilities will intertwine on stage, creating a unique sound mosaic capable of uniting cultures and generations.
“Composers in Comparison” is therefore a privileged key to access, an invitation to listen with greater awareness, to grasp the nuances and differences, to be surprised by the universal power of music which, through the performers, continues to speak to our present.
